The sin of homosexuality is forbidden in both the New and Old Testament. This sin is growing rapidly today because of the news media falsely showing it as a normal lifestyle.
Not only is homosexuality a sin, but it is an ABOMINATION against God. That means God has extreme hatred for this disgusting sin.
Leviticus 18:22 "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."
The sin of homosexuality is mentioned next to the sins of bestiality and other gross sexual sins. Homosexuals were put to death in the Old Testament, showing God's extreme hatred for this sin.
Leviticus 20:13 "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. 14 And if a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you. 15 And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast."
Genesis 19 records the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. Two male angels came into the city and the ungodly men of the city demanded that Lot give the angels to them to have sex with them. If you read the chapter you will see that they did not succeed, rather were blinded. The main reason for God sending fire from heaven and burning this city was because of the sin of Sodomy, which is homosexuality.
Genesis 19:5 "And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them."
Genesis 19:24 "Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;"
Jude 1:7 "Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."
The New Testament speaks against homosexuality also. The first epistle that Paul writes mentions sex perverts in the first chapter in Romans. The verses explain that homosexuality is not normal, but against nature. God created man and female to reproduce. It is Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!
Romans 1:26 "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;"
Some people will try to say that homosexuals were born that way, but this is proven false scientifically. There has not been one study that proves that homosexuals have genetic or biological differences with heterosexuals. Scientific studies have shown that homosexuality is a learned behavior, which explains why it is growing rapidly today. Studies have shown that homosexuality can sometimes be caused by poor relationships with parents, early homosexual experiences, homosexual peers, culture influences and etc. Homosexuality is not love, rather lust with unnatural feelings. True love is pure(1 Cor. 13).
In verse 28 in Romans 1 the word "reprobate" is commonly misunderstood as a lost man that has sinned so grievously that he cannot be saved. This is a Calvinistic heresy. The below passage shows that there were Christians at Corinth that used to be homosexuals and the Lord Jesus saved them just like He saved the fornicators, adulterers, idolaters, drunks, thieves, blackmailers, and covetous.
1 Corinthians 6:9 "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."
The entire passage in Romans 1 is talking about the Gentiles as a group. We know this by looking at verses 21, 24, 26 and 28. Notice the words, "they, them, them and they". This passage is talking about the history of the Gentile people when God gave them over to a reprobate mind. The passage had nothing to do with anything that took place in Paul's day, rather it is speaking about past history that took place before the time of Jesus Christ back in Genesis 11, which is when the "giving up" took place.
So, the word "reprobate" does not mean "lost with no chance at salvation". All lost men are sinners under the wrath of God whether they are a homosexual or not (John 3:36). The fact is, everyone that read Romans 1 fits the bill for a "reprobate mind" if you have lied, been proud, coveted, bragged or even disobeyed parents. The word "reprobate" means to "put on probation again". A mind that has been tested by the Lord and failed that test at least twice is a reprobate mind. The mind has broken probation. Let us be honest and realize that we all broken probation before the Lord many times before we were saved. God tested the Gentile nations in verses 26 through 32 and they failed more than once, so God gave them up to the things which they were doing. This means He no longer dealt with the Gentiles as a whole on the things listed in the verse, but thankfully, whatever God did with the Gentiles, the death of Christ changed all of that and now God is once more dealing with the Gentiles, but on one issue--the belief in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Acts 17:30 "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:"
Homosexuality is also dangerous health-wise. People that engage in homosexual behavior have a more likely chance to catch AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases, along with other health risks. According to studies, homosexuals normally do not live as long as heterosexuals.
As Christians, we should love Sodomites, in regards of showing them their sin and giving them the gospel of Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 1:10 "For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;"
Many people will think this article is hateful, but I have gave the facts and what God says about the issue, not my opinion. I do not hate homosexuals, but I do believe their lifestyle is a sin and absolutely disgusting. Showing them their sin and giving them the gospel is loving them way more than letting them go to Hell without ever being presented with the gospel. Jesus Christ died for sinners, along with homosexuals. If you are a homosexual, please realize that your choice of lifestyle is a sin and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ to save you from an eternal burning Hell(Romans 10:9-13).
Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
1 Timothy 1:15 "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief."
Romans 5:6 "For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly."
