I will be covering a question asked by many Christians. The question is, "Do animals go to Heaven?" Let us see what the scriptures say about this subject.
Ecclesiastes 3:21 "Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?"
The above verse teaches that when a man dies his spirit, which is the life of his body goes back to God. The saved men's soul before the Cross went to Abraham's Bosom(Luke 16:22) and the saved people soul's in the Church Age go to the third heaven (2 Cor. 5:8). The unsaved man's soul goes to Hell.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it."
For the animal, it's spirit goes back to the ground with it's body, so animals here on the earth do not go to either Heaven or Hell.
Although earthly animals do not go to heaven, there are spiritual animals in heaven, such as spiritual horses that Jesus Christ and his army will ride in the Millennium (Revelation 19:11). Spiritual horses of fire are mentioned in 2 Kings 2:11 and 2 Kings 6:17. In Acts 10:11-12, Peter saw animals let down from heaven (Acts 11:5-6).
Revelation 19:11 "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war."
In fact, heaven is called Paradise in Revelation 2:7. Paradise is a Persian word which means "animal park" or "garden with animals in it". So, we can expect to see spiritual animals, but for the earthly animals, their spirit goes back to the dust along with their body.
Revelation 2:7 "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God."
All of that being said, none of us will be thinking about our pets in heaven. We will be with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Our attention will be all on Him and we will be too busy giving Him honor, glory and praise to think about pets in our past earthly life.
Revelation 5:12 "Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. 13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever."
